A bold and characterful indigo cotton scattered with large, painterly red spots, creating a striking contrast against the deep blue base. Woven from Kala cotton, this fabric has a softly textured, slightly rustic handle that reflects its handmade origins, with a relaxed drape that works beautifully for everyday garments.
Perfect for dresses, tops, shirts and trousers, this cloth softens with each wash and wear, developing even more character over time.
Width: 120cm
Composition: 100% Kala cotton
Pattern Size: Spot approximately 9.5cm
Country of Origin: India
Please note: This fabric is dyed with natural indigo, which will continue to release colour over time and develop a lived-in look. Indian handlooms may feature slight irregularities in the weave, and occasional marks from the outdoor drying process, these will wash out and are part of the fabric’s charm.
Care Instructions: For the first couple of washes, place the fabric in the washing machine drum at 30-40°C with a handful of table salt to help fix the dye. Wash with a non-bio detergent. Do not tumble dry.
What is Kala Cotton? A traditional, rain-fed cotton grown in India without pesticides or irrigation. It has a slightly textured handle, is naturally durable and breathable, and softens beautifully over time.
